what does the african tribe name Baule mean?
for an assignment i need to write about an african tribe and i chose the baule tribe. my friend also chose an african tribe and i she let me see hers for help cause she did hers a while agoand i saw that she had found the meaning of the name of her tribe.
so, does anybody know what the word Baule means or where it comes from. or if anyone has a website that i could use.
i really need this information so if someone could help that would be soo cool.

The Baoule queen, Abla Poku, had to lead her people west to the shores of the Cornoe. In order to cross the river, she sacrificed her own son. This sacrifice was the origin of the name Baoule, for baouli-ineans “the child has died.” (I. N. Loucou, 1984) (in French)
